Dark spores, could they be real?

I've always wondered if the dark spores from Digimon 02 are real. They can make you very intelligent, but also cold hearted and cruel, and though Ken had one and was okay in the end, the other children that had spores put inside them were slowly being turned into "dark trees".

Do you think they could be real?

I actually believe they could. I'd have to do my research and maybe ask around, but I believe so. The series, apart from season one, may not be real, but I do know they take bits and pieces of real facts and put them into the other seasons. That's a really good question you have there!
